Unsurprisingly, most holidays in World of Warcraft are based on holidays in the real world. A good example of this would be Hallow's End, which is essentially an Azeroth version of Halloween. All across Azeroth, you will find jack-o-lanterns, spooky decorations, and plenty of Halloween-themed rewards to earn.

There are even candy buckets at every inn where you can get some candy and gold (along with EXP if you are not at level cap). Hallow's End runs from October 25th to November 8th, so here is what to expect with this event, including all the rewards you can obtain.

All Hallow's End Activities
As mentioned above, every inn across Azeroth and beyond will have candy buckets that you can interact with to get candy and other fun items. Even if you visited the candy buckets last year, they all reset every time Hallow's End returns. The only area that doesn't have candy buckets is the Shadowlands.

In each starting zone, there will be a town with some daily quests related to Hallow's End. Periodically, the Headless Horseman will appear and set buildings on fire. You will need to pick up buckets of water and throw them at the flames. If you and your fellow players manage to get the flames out fast enough, you'll be able to fight the Headless Horseman. It won't take more than a few hits to take him out, and then he'll leave his head behind which allows you to start a daily quest.
Speaking of the Headless Horseman, he is the seasonal boss for Hallow's End in the same way that Coren Direbrew and Ahune are the bosses for Brewfest and Midsummer Fire Festival respectively. Just like these bosses, you can queue to fight the Headless Horseman.
Since 2023, the Headless Horseman has been updated. The fight is now a little more complex beyond DPSing the head when it spawns, but the fight is still pretty easy. However, you can make the fight harder by using the Wicker Man statues. The effects of these statues make the fight significantly more difficult, but the debuffs only affect the player who activates them and not the rest of the party.

If you manage to defeat the Headless Horseman with Wicker Man statues active, it increases your chances of getting the Headless Horseman mount from the Loot-Filled Pumpkin. Excluding the rewards from the Loot-Filled Pumpkin, the Headless Horseman drops the following rings at a maximum of item level 554:
- Band of the Petrified Pumpkin
- Seal of Ghoulish Glee
- The Horseman's Ring
- Wicked Witch's Signet
Then there is the Loot-Filled Pumpkin that you can get once per day per character. In addition to the highly coveted mount that drops from the Loot-Filled Pumpkin, you can also get the Headless Horseman's helmet and sword. You also have a chance at getting the Sinister Squashling and Hallowed Helm, which are needed for the "Sinister Calling" achievement.

Rather than gold, you will purchase items with Tricky Treats. Tricky Treats are acquired from completing daily quests, the Loot-Filled Pumpkin, and occasionally from candy buckets across Azeroth. So if you want to get as many rewards as possible, you will want to make sure you visit every Candy Bucket, do all the daily quests everyday for the duration of this event, and also kill the Headless Horseman at least once per day. You can also get 10 Tricky Treats by completing "Hallow's End Treats for Jasper!" (Alliance) or "Hallow's End Treats for Spoops!" (Horde).
Don't worry If you aren't able to get every reward from Hallow's End before the event ends. All rewards will be available when Hallow's End begins the following year, though you will have to grind out the Tricky Treats from scratch.
