A consortium of Japanese telecommunication firms has successfully developed a cutting-edge 6G wireless device capable of transmitting data at speeds up to 20 times faster than 5G. This groundbreaking device can achieve data transmission rates of 100 gigabits per second (Gbps) and cover distances of up to 330 feet (100 meters). The collaboration, involving DOCOMO, NTT Corporation, NEC Corporation, and Fujitsu, began in 2021 with a focus on advancing sub-terahertz technology in anticipation of the 6G era.Unlike 5G, which primarily operates in lower frequency ranges, 6G is expected to utilize higher-frequency sub-terahertz bands, ranging between 100 and 300 GHz. This necessitates the development of entirely new wireless devices, as current 5G systems are not compatible with these higher frequencies. The project faced significant challenges, including defining performance standards for sub-terahertz wireless devices and designing and creating these devices from scratch. Each participating company made significant contributions to the advancement of sub-terahertz technology. DOCOMO conducted extensive analyses and engineered wireless transmission equipment for 100 GHz applications. NTT focused on developing wireless equipment for the 300 GHz band. NEC created a complex multi-element active phased array antenna for the 100 GHz band, while Fujitsu developed innovative technologies for amplifying signals in both the 100 GHz and 300 GHz bands with high efficiency. This milestone achievement in 6G technology has immense potential applications, including ultra-HD video streaming, real-time control in autonomous vehicles, and meeting the increasing communication demands of future technologies.#Japan #6G #Technology #Telecommunication #5G #Innovation

Despite its reputation for a booming tech industry and a tech-savvy population, India surprisingly lags behind its neighbor Pakistan in terms of crypto-friendliness, securing the 11th spot while Pakistan holds the 10th position on the list of most crypto-friendly nations. This discrepancy arises amidst a global surge in cryptocurrency ownership, with the number of crypto owners surging from 432 million to 580 million in 2023 alone, showcasing the increasing popularity of this digital asset. While some nations have actively embraced technological advancements in the crypto space, others have imposed regulations hindering its growth. Argentina leads as the world's most crypto-friendly nation, with the United States closely following suit despite challenges like high mining costs. However, India presents a different scenario, with cryptocurrencies operating in a regulatory grey area and facing taxation measures introduced in the 2022 central budget. This cautious approach stands in contrast to Pakistan, which currently lacks regulatory measures. The global rise in crypto ownership reflects a growing interest in this digital currency, prompting countries to either support or regulate its use. As India navigates this evolving landscape, it remains to be seen how it will respond to the crypto wave and whether it will adopt a more embracing stance like some of its counterparts.#Pakistan #India #Cryptocurrency #Cryptotrading
